1. LEGO ARCHITECTURE ROBIE HOUSE 21010

LEGO Architecture Robie House 21010You might be thinking, what exactly is the Robie House, and why have I never heard of it? These are good questions. The Robie House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1908, and was built two years later. Robie is the name of the family it was designed for, specifically Frederick C. Robie and family. Today, the Robie House sits on the South Side of Chicago, on the South Side of Chicago.

The reason this LEGO set sits atop the list? It’s rare, and hard to find. But more importantly, it’s the largest Architecture LEGO set ever produced. Coming it at a whopping 2,276 pieces, it’s a thing of beauty. As far the actual building itself, its nothing short of a national landmark. Some have referred to it as the Home of the Century, and for that reason, LEGO built a massive set that takes the cake. Architecturally speaking, of course.

2. LEGO ARCHITECTURE STATUE OF LIBERTY 21042

LEGO Statue of Liberty 21042Just behind the Robie House at the top of the list, is none other than the LEGO Architecture Statue of Liberty. Lady Liberty ranks at number one because well, she’s a classic symbol of the United States of America, and her 1,685 pieces allow for intricate levels of detail that are absolutely stunning in a LEGO set. Seriously, how do they fit that many pieces in a model that measures 17 inches high, 5 inches wide, and 5 inches deep? This beautiful LEGO Statue of Liberty is the perfect piece to represent world nations coming together, and you can be a part of that progress by creating this set, which is an architectural masterpiece in and of itself.

3. LEGO ARCHITECTURE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING 21002

LEGO Empire State Building 21046Another American classic from our shining star New York City: the Empire State Building. This LEGO architecture set comes in at 1,767 pieces‒ yes, that’s the highest number on this list! The intricate detail provided by that high number of pieces is evident in the resulting structure that really replicates the architectural beauty of the real Empire State Building. If you’re a New Yorker (or just an American who appreciates this beautiful emblem of our country), why not add this LEGO Architecture Empire State Building to your collection along with the Statue of Liberty?

4. LEGO ARCHITECTURE TRAFALGAR SQUARE 21045

LEGO Trafalgar Square 21045Anyone who has been to the stunning city of London knows that Trafalgar Square in Westminster is simply a can’t miss, representing the true center of the city as well as a historical gathering place and community center. That’s part of the reason why the LEGO Architecture Trafalgar Square comes in highly ranked on our top architecture sets list, the other part of the reason being the level of detail in the LEGOs themselves. Coming with 1,197 pieces, this set includes details that will make you feel like you are truly in London, like 2 of the famous red buses and 2 black cabs. At $79.99, this set is also really reasonably priced for the level of detail and is a must buy for fans of this British gem.

5. LEGO ARCHITECTURE IMPERIAL HOTEL 21017

To the surprise of absolutely no one, another Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece makes an appearance in the Top 10. The Imperial Hotel has been a staple of Japanese tourism for quite some time. The LEGO Imperial Hotel features 1,188 pieces and much like the original structure itself, is a work of art. This set has been discontinued by LEGO, but you can still find a set on Amazon or eBay. This one belongs in your collection without a doubt.

6. LEGO ARCHITECTURE TREVI FOUNTAIN 21020

LEGO Trevi Fountain 21020For those of you who need to brush up on your geography, the Trevi fountain is one of the crowning architectural achievements in Rome. As the legend goes, if you toss a coin into the fountain, at some point you’ll return to Rome. While I’m not so sure that’s the case, one thing is for certain – the fountain is a gold mine. Literally, over a million dollars worth of coins is deposited into Trevi fountain each year. The fountain itself is a true work of art, standing over 85 feet high and 160 feet wide. The LEGO version of the Trevi fountain is a decent sized build at 731 pieces. Speaking strictly in terms of architecture, it’s one of the most impressive LEGO sets you can own.

7. LEGO ARCHITECTURE US CAPITOL BUILDING 21030

LEGO US Capitol Building 21030Let’s head back to the United States for our capital city’s classic ‒ none other than the Capitol Building. This set contains 1,032 pieces, again allowing you to recreate this landmark building in great levels of detail. If you have LEGO characters laying around somewhere at home, you can even pretend to pass legislation here once you complete it! 8. LEGO ARCHITECTURE FALLINGWATER 21005

LEGO Fallingwater 21005If you’re a true architecture and design junkie, you are definitely familiar with Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterwork house Fallingwater. And now, this beautiful house located in Southwestern Pennsylvania has been turned into a LEGO set with 811 pieces — a must-have for anyone who truly enjoys American architecture. At around $500, the price tag might be a little steep for this one, but that’s because the LEGO Fallingwater set was discontinued a couple years ago – making it all the more of a commodity!

9. LEGO ARCHITECTURE THE LOUVRE 21024

LEGO Louvre 21024Home to some of the most priceless works of art, the Louvre is among the most important buildings in the world. Of course, it’s also a pretty important location for scenes in movies, including The Da Vinci Code. I sometimes close my eyes and envision Tom Hanks running around the Louvre, and only then do I fully recognize its significance. The LEGO Louvre comes in at 695 pieces, and does justice to one of the more stunning places you can visit.

10. LEGO ARCHITECTURE LAS VEGAS STRIP 21047

LEGO Las Vegas Strip 21047Jeopardy James would definitely be all in on this LEGO set featuring the Las Vegas strip and skyline. Despite what they try to tell you, what happens in Vegas definitely does not stay in Vegas. The LEGO Architecture Las Vegas set is just over 500 pieces, and might just inspire you to book your next trip to the City of Sin. It’s an authentic experience similar to the real Las Vegas, where you exchange money for something in return. Unlike an actual trip to Las Vegas, you’ll only have spent a fraction of the money that you otherwise would have lost. And you won’t have to hit the ATM over and over again. LEGO Las Vegas for the win.

11. LEGO ARCHITECTURE FARNSWORTH HOUSE 21009

LEGO Architecture Farnsworth House 21009The LEGO Farnsworth House is a fan favorite.Designed by world famous architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the piece has been studied extensively in the world of architecture. Edith Farnsworth’s Country House is located approximately 55 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The residence faces the Fox River, and ultimately points to a weekend retreat with a simplistic design and design in harmony with nature. The LEGO version of the Farnsworth House is 546 pieces.

12. LEGO ARCHITECTURE SOLOMON R. GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM 21035

LEGO Architecture Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum 21035You could make a strong argument that this particular LEGO set should be ranked higher on the list. The Guggenheim Museum sits in downtown New York City, and the strikingly unique design is unique in itself. The Guggenheim was designed by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright, and this LEGO set just flat out looks incredible. If you’re a fan of contemporary art, Frank Lloyd Wright, or just insanely clever LEGO builds, the LEGO Guggenheim is a masterpiece. 744 pieces of pure architectural joy.

13. LEGO ARCHITECTURE EIFFEL TOWER 21019

LEGO Eiffel Tower 21019Perhaps the single most famous building in the world, the Eiffel Tower is undoubtedly the most romantically inclined building on the list. It’s a symbol of hope and peace, in a world that’s been devastated by disease, fires, mass shootings, and natural disaster. If you were going to craft a dream proposal with one building set in the backdrop, the Eiffel Tower would certainly top the list. The LEGO Eiffel Tower isn’t the biggest, but might just be the most iconic. Putting together the 321 pieces won’t take you super long, but you’ll certainly want to put this one on display.

14. LEGO ARCHITECTURE CHICAGO SKYLINE 21033

LEGO Architecture Chicago Skyline 21033Chicago is the third largest city in the United States, and home to some seriously cool buildings. The Willis Tower (better known as the Sears Tower) was at one point, the tallest building in the world. Don’t forget about the Hancock tower as well, which has a pretty nice little restaurant on the top floor called the Signature room. Fans of the Windy City will love this 444 piece LEGO Chicago Skyline set. It even features the DuSable Bridge, and Cloud Gate aka the obnoxious Chicago bean that has spawned far too many selfies. Get some help, selfie people.

16. LEGO ARCHITECTURE VILLA SAVOYE 21014

LEGO Architecture Villa Savoye 21014For number 16, let’s head on over to Poissy, along the outskirts of Paris, France. Designed by Swiss architects Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, this modernist villa has a lot to love. There’s something about this one that just speaks to me. Seemingly dropped in the middle of a scenic park, the modern design would be an incredible setting for a party. LEGO decided to give the Villa Savoye the LEGO Architecture treatment, resulting in this 660 piece set that catches the eye. The perfect blend of building and nature, the Villa Savoye is one of my favorite LEGO sets on the list.

17. LEGO ARCHITECTURE LONDON SKYLINE 21034

LEGO London SkylineWhat do Big Ben, Tower Bridge, the National Gallery, the London Eye, and Nelson’s Column all have in common? You guessed it – they’re all located in London, AND they’re all included in this LEGO London Skyline set! It’s where the 193 collective members of the international community gather with the goal of ensuring global peace. The UN Nations Headquarters LEGO set has 597 pieces. While LEGO chose to discontinue this set awhile back, it’s still one of the better Architecture builds you can buy. Highly recommend adding this one to your short list!

LEGO Paris Skyline 21044If just building the Eiffel Tower wasn’t enough for you, we give you none other than the LEGO Paris skyline collection! 20. LEGO ARCHITECTURE BURJ KHALIFA 21031

LEGO Burj Khalifa 21031Located in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest tower in the world. Perhaps even more impressive, Tom Cruise, er, Ethan Hunt was able to scale a portion of it using high-tech suction cups during a Mission Impossible movie. It stands over 2,700 feet high, an insane architectural feat in the United Arab Emirates. The Burj Khalifa LEGO set is only 333 pieces so it won’t take you forever to build it, but what’s cooler than a LEGO version of the tallest skyscraper in the world?

21. LEGO ARCHITECTURE DUBAI SKYLINE 21052

LEGO Dubai 21052If you’re looking for a slightly less construction-intensive architectural masterpiece, yet still a beautiful set, the LEGO Architecture Dubai skyline is perfect for you. What I like about this set is that it includes multiple buildings that are iconic from the metropolis of Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa, Jumeriah Emirates Towers hotel, Burj Aj Arab Jumeirah hotel, Dubai Frame and the Dubai Fountain, all for the price of around $60. If you’re an international traveler, or just an architecture fan, you know that the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world‒ how can you NOT add this set to your collection?

22. LEGO ARCHITECTURE GREAT WALL OF CHINA 21041

LEGO Great Wall of China 21041Have you ever thought about how legitimately insane the Great Wall of China is? We’re talking about 13,000 miles of wall, with some sections being constructed as early as 250 BC. It’s certainly a metaphorical (and physical) representative of the Chinese containment philosophy that still exists to this day. Setting aside all of the political implications of wall-building and the physical separation of societies, it can’t be argued that the Great Wall is anything other than impressive. A truly stunning architectural accomplishment spawning over 2,000 years. The Great Wall LEGO set features just a small portion of the wall, but 551 pieces is a decent build. You’ll like this one!

23. LEGO ARCHITECTURE ARC DE TRIOMPHE 21036

LEGO Architecture Arc De Triomphe 21036Ooh la la! Situated in the French capital of Paris, we have none other than the LEGO Architecture Arc de Triomphe. The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most historical places in Paris, standing boldly to represent all those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. This LEGO set has detailed coloring to really inspire your historical knowledge, even complete with a golden plate representing the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This one would look especially great next to the Eiffel Tower if you’re a fan of Paris!

24. LEGO ARCHITECTURE LEANING TOWER OF PISA 21015

LEGO Leaning Tower of Pisa 21015Is there anything cooler than a building that’s basically falling over? Enter the Leaning Tower of Pisa. LEGO fans will enjoy the 345 piece tilting tower. Fun fact: the most famous building that’s tipping over was built in the year 1178, and stood up straight for only 5 years before starting to show signs of serious structural malfunction. Imagine building something you thought was pretty cool for an entire city to see, only to have it start leaning over just a few years later. And then, the fact that your building was an architectural mess became the thing that made it even more famous. Life is kind of hilarious like that. The LEGO Leaning Tower of Pisa is worth adding to your collection.

25. LEGO ARCHITECTURE WHITE HOUSE 21006

LEGO White House 21006Forget about politics for a second, or if you voted for the current president. 400 Pennsylvania Drive in Washington D.C. represents one of the most significant residences in the world. It’s where the most powerful leaders of the most powerful country in the world have called home for over 200 years. Fun fact: John Adams was actually the first president to live there, after initial construction was completed in the year 1800. The LEGO White House is a must own, and that’s just the way it is. Definitely a LEGO favorite among the alien race that laser-beamed the ish out of it during Independence Day.

26. LEGO ARCHITECTURE SUNGNYEMUN 21016

LEGO Architecture Sungnyemun 21016The Sungnyemun (also referred to as the Namdaemun) is one of the Eight Gates in the Fortress Wall in Seoul, South Korea. The Sungnyemun is arguably the most treasured of South Korea’s monuments. Although this LEGO build is only 325 pieces, the LEGO Sungnyemun set represents an important piece of history. The Great Southern Gate is part of the LEGO Architecture Landmark series, and designer Adam Reed Tucker was not messing around.

27. LEGO ARCHITECTURE BUCKINGHAM PALACE 21029

LEGO Buckingham Palace 21029Unless you’ve lived under a rock, the Royal Family has been in the news quite a bit recently. Despite all of the drama surrounding Harry and Megan’s decision to step away from the limelight, Buckingham Palace still remains a major attraction and one of the most important structures in all of London. The LEGO Buckingham Palace comes in at 780 pieces, and for around $100 seems like a pretty good buy if you’re wanting to build out your arsenal of LEGO Architecture sets. Cheers mate!

28. LEGO ARCHITECTURE SHANGHAI 21039

LEGO Shanghai Skyline 21039Businesspeople and world travelers alike will immediately recognize the beauty of China’s biggest city in this LEGO Architecture interpretation of the Shanghai skyline. The spiraling Shanghai Tower (2,073 ft. IRL, with the world’s fastest elevators) and the 1,614 ft, beautifully blue World Financial Center stand out impressively in this skyline replica and offer a nod to the magnitude of Chinese architecture. This is a unique collection with 597 pieces that will undoubtedly make its mark wherever you decide to place it.

29. LEGO ARCHITECTURE SYDNEY SKYLINE 21032

LEGO Sydney Skyline 21032Sydney, the biggest city in the land down under, has some incredibly impressive architecture. The Opera House is probably the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Sydney, and for good reason. The LEGO Sydney Skyline set features the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Tower, and Deutsche Bank Place – and frankly, this skyline collection just looks really freakin’ cool.

30. LEGO ARCHITECTURE SEATTLE SPACE NEEDLE 21003

LEGO Space Needle 21003Seattle is one of the beacons of American technology. Featuring the headquarters of Microsoft, Amazon, and Nintendo just to name a few, the city of Seattle is nothing short of incredible. And with all of the impressive architecture in the city, the Space Needle might just be the most recognizable of them all. In fair warning, this is hardly even a project – 57 pieces is kind of a sick joke played by LEGO, but you kind of get it when you realize what they’re having you build here. The LEGO Space Needle isn’t my favorite set on the list, but it’s still a staple of the city of Seattle and for that reason, some of you will still buy it. Also, is there really such a thing as a bad LEGO? The answer is no.

Well, there you have it. That’s all! Are you feeling some inspiration? Grab one of these LEGO Architecture sets and get building!
