The Surface Hub 2S is a bunch of different things. Real-time video collaboration, a mobile display, meeting assistant, and of course, a futuristic whiteboard. Add all of those together and what do you get? An incredible, and yet absurdly expensive piece of tech, and we’re absolutely here for it. We’re talking about at an investment just shy of $10,000 per device. Microsoft knows a typical consumer isn’t going to wheel one of these into their family room, but of course that’s not the target market.
Perhaps taking a page from Google’s Jamboard, the Surface Hub 2S is a portable productivity hub, potentially capable of changing the way meetings are run in Corporate America. Instead of a fixed projector, old-school whiteboard, and death via PowerPoint decks, this new device can actually deliver true collaboration.
