We've seen these before, but this time it's actually worth getting excited about. Developed by ForwardX Robotics, the Ovis is a smart suitcase that will follow you around. Do we need this? Probably not. Is it kind of ridiculous? Absolutely.
On second thought, maybe this isn't the most unnecessary innovation we've seen. Have you ever watched a parent corral multiple children throughout the airport? When you have kids, you truly can't have enough hands. Freeing up the one you'd be pulling your suitcase with might just save lives. As an added bonus -- if you don't have kids, the Ovis can enable you to safely walk while completely distracted staring down at your phone. Those people aren't annoying at all.
